Job summary

Shenandoah Veterinary Associates, a privately owned emergency and after-hours hospital in Roanoke, VA, is seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join our growing team. Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Virginia veterinary technician license in good standing.
3-5 years of professional experience as a licensed veterinary technician (preferred but not required)
Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood draws, and collection of diagnostic samples
Working knowledge of anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery
Ability to monitor vitals and recognize changes in patient condition, including ECG tracings
Experience managing infusion pumps and CRIs
Strong triage and patient assessment skills
Comfort with electronic medical records and generating client estimates
Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients during stressful situations
Availability to work swing and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment
Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork
