Job summary

Premier Veterinary Group Mundelein is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Critical Care team on a full-time schedule with 3rd shift options. You will triage emergencies, support veterinarians, monitor hospitalized patients, and assist with anesthesia and diagnostic procedures in our state-of-the-art hospital.

The role offers competitive pay ($22-$30/hr plus overnight differentials), a collaborative environment, and opportunities for credentialing and professional growth.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred; candidates of all experience levels considered including students.
• Ability to triage emergencies and support veterinarians in fast-paced hospital settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork to collaborate with clinicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming emergency patients, assess condition, and help develop diagnostic/treatment plans.
• Deliver nursing care, monitor hospitalized patients, and recognize changes needing intervention.
• Collect/process samples, assist with diagnostics and procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
• Administer, monitor, and recover patients from sedation/anesthesia.
• Maintain flow and organization of the Emergency and Critical Care department.
• Communicate with clients about updates, treatment plans, and admissions/discharges.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
