Job summary

Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center is seeking an ER Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 emergency team in Western NY. You will triage, stabilize, and support urgent procedures, collaborating with veterinarians to deliver high‑quality care for canine and feline patients.

The role requires NY licensure and at least 1 year of veterinary experience, with ER experience preferred. Competitive benefits, sign-on bonus, and shift differentials are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from an accredited program required.
• Current New York State Veterinary Technician license required.
• Minimum of one year of veterinary experience; ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients and support urgent interventions.
• Communicate with clients during stressful events and provide handoffs between shifts.
• Administer medications, fluids, and anesthesia as directed; monitor response.
• Maintain accurate records in EzyVet and Smart Flow and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with the medical team to prioritize care and training.
