Job summary

Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, seeks a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to deliver real-time, high-quality care in a fast-paced ER setting. You will manage hospitalized cases, diagnose, and lead treatment plans, collaborating with technicians to ensure excellent outcomes.

Salary is negotiable with a progressive pay model, and opportunities for growth, mentorship, and ER mastery through Thrive’s national network and ER Academy are available.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
• State Veterinary Board License: Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment; Obtained prior to start date
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
• Experience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships is highly recommended

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care for sick and injured patients and manage hospitalized cases
• Assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, and partner with technicians for high-quality care
• Perform surgeries, deliver critical care, and maintain exceptional service standards in the ER department
