Elite Vehicle Solutions is opening a new location in Northern NJ/Rockland County and seeks Emergency Vehicle Installers. You will install, repair, test, and remove 12-volt equipment for police and public safety vehicles.

We prefer candidates with 2+ years of related experience and strong attention to detail. The role offers hourly pay and a full-time schedule with benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About The Position

Elite Vehicle Solutions is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Emergency Vehicle Installers. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, testing, and removing 12-volt law enforcement and public safety vehicle equipment. We service police, public safety, and specialty vehicles for both local and federal clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and remove 12-volt emergency equipment, including (but not limited to):
• Light bars and flashers
• Sirens and speakers
• In-car video systems and cameras
• Laptops, printers, and mobile data terminals
• Consoles and transport partitions
• Radios, antennas, and routers
• Windshield and side glass replacement
• Perform system testing to ensure proper operation of all equipment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Document work completed and communicate effectively with team members
• Follow company, manufacturer, and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of vehicle wiring and the ability to identify electrical circuits
• Experience with emergency lighting installation is a plus
• Automotive or marine 12-volt experience is beneficial
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• Ability to work with and see small components
• Good hearing and color vision are required
• Must be reliable, punctual, and prepared to work each day
• Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications).
