Emergency Vehicle Installation Technician - Millstone
East Coast Emergency Lighting is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Installation Technician for Millstone, New Jersey (the location will move to Edison and Wall in the coming months). This is a full‑time position with a family‑friendly schedule and opportunities for overtime.
Overview
The Emergency Vehicle Installation Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that first responders operate safe, reliable, and effective vehicles. The technician installs equipment including emergency vehicle lighting and control systems, sirens, radios, radar, in‑car cameras, license plate readers, consoles and cargo cabinets, weapon and drone mounting systems, front push bars, and related components.
Responsibilities
- Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts
- Installation of specialized emergency vehicle parts: lightbars, emergency lighting, push bumpers, sirens, controllers, speakers, partitions, window bars, prisoner seats, gun racks, car video, computers, license plate recognition, and related systems
- Follow in‑shop clean‑up and safety duties
- Keep tools and inventory neat and orderly
- May be required to provide your own hand tools
Qualifications and Attributes
- Experience working with hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc.)
- Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components (preferred)
- Ability to work in, under, and around vehicles and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently in a team environment
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen
- Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $17-$23 per hour, based on experience (higher pay may be considered for candidates with experience and industry knowledge)

Schedule and Location
- Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. with opportunities for overtime
- Location: Millstone, New Jersey (location moving to Edison and Wall in coming months)
