The City of Kirkland’s Public Works Department is hiring a full-time Emergency Vehicle Technician or Mechanic II to maintain a diverse fleet of emergency, staff, and construction vehicles. Candidates with transferable automotive, heavy-truck, diesel, or fleet experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4 years journey-level experience in repair and maintenance of automobiles, heavy trucks, gas and diesel engines, and electrical systems.
• Valid Washington State Driver's license and Class A with tanker endorsement required.

Aufgaben

• Perform preventive maintenance on City vehicles and equipment.
• Upfits new and existing vehicles with tool boxes, racks and emergency lighting to meet City needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and parts.
• Assist in maintaining the shop parts inventory.
