Job summary

Matheny Motor Truck Company is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician to join the Fire and Emergency Team in Ocala, FL. You will build and wire electrical systems, program lighting per specs, and troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, automotive electrical experience, and ideally EVT certification with a CDL license. Certifications from prior employers (EONE, Pierce) are a plus, with a strong technical performance record and ability to read

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Person must have automotive electrical experience (manufacturing preferred).
• EVT certification or willingness to obtain is required.
• Unrestricted CDL and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble under-dash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards, and electrical components.
• Program lights per customer specs.
• Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC systems.
• Test products to meet customer specifications.
• Read engineering drawings and layouts to build per spec.
• Perform functionality checks on alarms and light packages.
• Identify and fix quality issues; communicate delays to management.
