Job summary

Hospital to Home LLC is seeking a Safety-conscious Emergency Vehicle Operator to join our Mobile Healthcare team in Lynchburg, VA. You will safely operate ambulances and assist EMS crews during emergency and non-emergency transports.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, patient loading, on-scene safety support, accurate documentation, and strict HIPAA compliance. The role may require nights, weekends, and exposure to high-stress situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) certification is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license for 3+ years with an acceptable driving record.
• Prior experience operating emergency vehicles or healthcare transportation is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate emergency vehicles during emergency responses, interfacility transfers, and non-emergency transports.
• Drive using best practices while following all traffic laws.
• Assist with loading and unloading patients, stretchers, and equipment.
• Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections.
• Support EMS crew with on-scene logistics and safety duties.
• Complete documentation and maintenance reports accurately and promptly.
• Uphold HIPAA, safety, and infection control protocols.
