Job summary

BearCom is seeking a technician in the Chicago metropolitan area to install and service emergency warning equipment across a variety of vehicle platforms. You will install lighting, radios, GPS, and related systems while wiring and testing to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical work, tool use, and adherence to safety standards. On-site duties may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and driving to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience with installation and troubleshooting two-way radios, sirens, warning lights, or public safety vehicular equipment preferred.
• Must be able to document installation activities and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of emergency warning equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Install and wire vehicle lighting, sirens, cameras, GPS equipment, and related systems.
• Dismantle interior/exterior of vehicles for equipment installation as needed.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
