Job summary

State of California's California Highway Patrol seeks an Electronics Technician to recondition, diagnose, repair and test emergency lighting and siren systems on enforcement vehicles, including light bars and related components. You will work in West Sacramento, supporting engineering staff and field technicians.

This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on repair, records management, and parts shipment coordination.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal/verbal communication skills.
• Good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Recondition, diagnose, repair and test emergency lighting and siren systems.
• Assist engineering staff in diagnosing malfunctioning systems and provide technical support.
• Keep records and assist inventory, purchasing, shipping, and tracking of parts and electronic systems.
• Sort used systems and distribute to the warehouse for refurbishment and reuse.
