Job summary

Orlando Health is recruiting a licensed nurse to provide and document individualized patient care, including evaluation, education, medication administration, IV therapy, and patient safety under RN direction in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a Florida nursing license with current BLS, ED/urgent care or hospital experience, and completion of a 30-hour IV therapy course within 30 days of hire. Shift: Mid 1pm-1am, full time.

Qualifications

• Florida nursing license with current BLS certification.
• Graduate of a nursing program; IV therapy course completed within 30 days of hire for inpatient/SNF.
• Experience in ED/Urgent Care or hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in advanced nursing skills and uses unit equipment as defined by role.
• Communicates patient condition to RN and healthcare team.
• Assists RN or provider during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data and education per policy.
• Performs triage and determines next steps in care with nursing team input.
• Administers medications per scope and as directed by a provider.
• Maintains safe, caring environment for patient and family.
• Keeps informed about policy, procedure, and equipment changes.
• Supports anesthesia-related tasks when applicable and assists with equipment/setup.
