Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Bradley Memorial Emergency Department is seeking an ER Technician to assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will collect, report, and record patient data and perform routine duties as needed.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, acute care or EMT/paramedic experience, and phlebotomy/EKG skills. Position is on-site at 81 Meriden Ave; shift pattern includes every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delegated patient care tasks under RN supervision and document patient data.

The Emergency Department at HOCC – Bradley Memorial campus is a 10 bed unit that cares for patients across the spectrum of age, health, education, etc. The staff includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Associates, Unit Secretaries, Physicians, and Mid-Level practitioners. The Emergency Department is equipped with all tools needed to safely care for any patient from central station cardiac monitoring to ultrasound equipment, to our EHR (Epic ASAP). All staff work together and in a supportive environment to make sure we have a safe environment for our staff & patients, working the most efficiently, and providing the highest level of satisfaction for our staff & patients.

Job Summary

The ER Technician performs delegated aspects of patient care in Emergency or Critical Care Department. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will collect, report, and record patient data and perform other patient care duties as needed.
