Job summary

The Emergency Trauma Technician position in UCLA Health's Emergency Department is based in Los Angeles, CA, with 12-hour night shifts. You'll work to support nurses, transport patients, and assist with procedures in trauma and emergency settings.

Qualifications

• Performs basic patient care and follows infection control practices.
• Assists in setup of equipment for procedures and with patient transport.
• Provides direct patient care in trauma/emergency situations; knowledge of orthopedic injuries and splint placement.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in transporting patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Collect specimens, perform EKGs and finger-stick glucose checks.
