Job summary

Experience

• One year (in the last 2 years) of experienced preferred in acute hospital or long term care setting. Must have direct patient care experience in the last 6 months including taking vital signs. Unit Receptionist / Monitor Technician experience may be required dependent upon shift.

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current CNA or EMT Certification and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Recognition of cardiac rhythms course completion within six months of hire.

Licensure/Certifications

• Required: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
• Assault crisis training must be completed within the first 6 months of hire.
• Successful completion and maintenance of Telemetry Assessment.
• Preferences: Current emergency medical technician (EMT), paramedic, certified nursing assistant (CNA), medical assistant (MA) certification or be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
