Job summary

Owatonna Public Schools District Office seeks Emergency Short Call Substitute Teachers to cover for full-time teachers for a set period. You will implement lesson plans, supervise students, assign homework, and follow the lead of full-time staff.

Job Description

Position Summary: Short Call Substitute Teachers replace full-time classroom teachers for a determined period of time. Their role consists of implementing existing lesson plans, overseeing classroom activities, assigning homework, following the full-time teacher's instructions, and grading tests.

Qualifications:

• Hold an associate's degree in any field.
• Educational support (Paraprofessionals or Classroom EAs) who hold a high school diploma, or equivalent, and have worked for at least one year for a hiring Minnesota public school district.
• Apply for an Emergency Short Call Substitute Teaching license. (Application fee will be covered by Owatonna Public Schools)

Substitute Teacher Training Session: Owatonna Public Schools District Office given during orientation at 333 E School Street.

Rate of Pay: $206/day for full-day assignments // $29.43/hour for non-full-day assignments
