Lifepoint Health in Hot Springs, AR seeks an Emergency Services Technician to perform administrative duties and telemetry monitoring in the ER. This PRN, in-person role supports patients and staff and reports to the Emergency Room Director.
Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, routing requests, assisting with admissions and discharges, and maintaining patient records. Requires high school diploma; EMT Paramedic or EMT Intermediate preferred; BLS required; CNA license

The Emergency Services Technician performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area. Is also required to perform telemetry monitoring.
Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested. Enters nursing requests subject to the approval of a licensed nurse. Ask for clarification when necessary. Assists with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assembles and maintains patient records and charts. Performs needed clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies. Assists RNs and physicians with other patient activities as needed. Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports on equipment problems to supervisor. Other tasks that may be assigned.
