Job summary

Asante in Medford, OR is seeking an Emergency Services Tech to assist in the ED or Immediate Care under the direction of RNs and physicians. This 0.9 FTE, full-time night shift position supports patient care and department operations as part of a dedicated team.

Candidates should have medical field experience and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, EMT-P or OR-EMT) and be prepared for ongoing education and professional development through Asante's Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Experience in the medical field required.
• 1+ year of experience in an emergency department or 911 setting preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, EMT-P or OR-EMT-I (Oregon) equivalents.
• Preferred certifications: BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Emergency Services under the direction of the RN, FNP, PA, or MD as part of the care team.
• Help promote the functioning of Emergency Services and support department operations.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide patient care in ED or Immediate Care.

Shift Differentials:

• $1.44 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.55 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.27 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The Emergency Services (ES) Techfor Asante assists in providing care to patients in the Emergency Department or Immediate Care under the direction of the RN, FNP, PA, or MD, working as a team member & helping to promote the functioning of Emergency Services.

Qualifications

Experience

• Previous work or training in the medical field is required
• 1 or more years of experience in an emergency department or 911 setting is preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PALS: Pediatric Life Support
• EMT-P: Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, certified by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians or by the State of Oregon - OR-EMT-I: Emergency Medical Technician- Intermediate, certified by the OHA (Oregon Health Authority) - OR- equivalent

Preferred Certifications

• BLS Instructor: Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor
• ACLS Instructor: Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor
• PALS Instructor: Pediatric Life Support Instructor
