Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The 24/7, 36-bed ED handles high-volume cases and provides advanced clinical care with a gerontologist on site.

As an RN in Emergency Services, you will lead plan-of-care activities, monitor patient status, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure timely, compassionate care. We welcome new grads and experienced nurses alike.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• BCLS is required; ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and patient care activities.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility needs.
• Coordinates care across disciplines including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Provides education to patients and families based on age and condition.
