Sampson County EMS in North Carolina is seeking two dedicated paramedics to implement and develop a PORT Paramedic program to respond to substance abuse calls and potentially mental health crisis calls within the County.
Working independently to navigate between patients and community resources, you will develop and implement care and treatment plans tailored to patient needs and make appropriate referrals to support positive outcomes.
SALARY: Begins $55,800 with comprehensive benefits package
Sampson County EMS is actively seeking two dedicated paramedics to implement and develop a community-based PORT Paramedic program to respond to substance abuse calls and potentially mental health crisis calls within the County. Working independently to navigate between patients and community resources, these key employees will develop and implement care and treatment plans specific to patient needs and make appropriate referrals to support positive outcomes. Employees must be highly motivated and able to collaborate with law enforcement and community leaders to educate and participate in community outreach efforts.
Work is divided into alternating 12-hour daytime shifts working 36 hours one week followed by 48 hours the next week with the expectation of working occasional extra shifts on the 911 ambulances.
Requirements at time of hire include: North Carolina Paramedic Certification, valid NC driver's license, Emergency Vehicle Driver Training, Post Overdose Response Training, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS, and NIMS IC300 and IC400 certifications.
