Lovelace Regional Hospital in Roswell, NM seeks a day shift, full-time Emergency Services Director of Nursing to lead and oversee ED nursing operations with 24/7 responsibility. Responsibilities include directing the unit, mentoring staff, monitoring quality metrics, and collaborating with physicians to improve patient flow and outcomes while leading a major ED expansion project.

Ideal candidate has BSN, current RN license, and leadership experience in healthcare; MS or certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN in progress if not yet obtained.
• Current RN license or license deemed acceptable by the State Board of Nursing.
• Preferred: 3 years of leadership in healthcare; MS in nursing or related field; certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration.

Responsibilities

• The nurse director has twenty-four-hour responsibility for assigned departments within established standards to achieve the organization's mission and vision.
• The nursing director provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff.
• Monitor and evaluate quality, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement improvement strategies.
• Establish strong collaborative relationships with physicians and oversee administrative, financial, and clinical activities of assigned departments.
