Job summary

Region Ten Community Services Board is seeking a Nurse (LPN or RN) at the Emergency Services Crisis Receiving Center in Charlottesville. The nurse will monitor health and safety, administer medications, and supervise para-professional staff trained in medication administration.

Reports to the Emergency Services Director; Virginia-nurse licensing and driving requirements apply. The role requires current LPN or RN licensure in Virginia, with the ability to transport consumers if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience with behavioral health is preferred.
• Licensed to practice as LPN or RN in Virginia; valid VA driver’s license and insur. when traveling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Nurse at the Emergency Services Crisis Receiving Center.
• Monitor health and safety of center participants; administer medications and supervise paraprofessional staff.
• Communicate health status to other health care practitioners and educate center staff.
