Six Flags Great Adventure is seeking an Emergency Services Coordinator to audit safety compliance across the property and participate in fire protection. The role also supports the EMS team as needed, handling emergency responses and maintaining safety documentation.

Rate starts at $21.50 per hour with responsibilities spanning inspections, risk assessments, and employee education. Strong communication and EMT/CPR credentials are required, along with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license.
• Certifications in firefighter, EMS and incident management systems are required.
• Experience or training in safety auditing and emergency response is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire-related calls as part of the Fire Brigade.
• Conduct and record safety audits and inspections throughout Six Flags properties.
• Assess safety risks during projects and advise on mitigation.
• Educate employees on safety standards and procedures.
• Recommend improvements for workplace safety.
• Investigate onsite accidents and identify causes.
• Maintain documentation of safety procedures and events.
• Act as liaison with external fire and EMS agencies.
• Maintain Safety Department equipment and facilities.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist as needed.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire-related calls for service as part of the Fire Brigade
• Conduct and record safety audits and inspections regularly throughout the Six Flags Great Adventure properties
• Conduct safety inspections before or during projects to analyze safety risks
• Educate employees on safety standards and procedures
• Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
• Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident
• Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events
• Act as a liaison between the Park and external partners, such as fire and EMS agencies
• Maintain all Safety Department equipment and facilities
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist as needed
• Complete any task assigned by the Emergency Services Supervisor, Public Safety Supervisor, or Public Safety Manager

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess a valid driver's license at all times
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• NJ Firefighter 1 Certified
• ICS 100 (Introduction to ICs)
• ICS 200.c (ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents) *Must be in-person
• IS-700 (National Incident Management System)
• IS-800 (National Response Framework)
• Current EMT-B Certification (NJ State or Nationally Certified)
• Current and Valid CPR Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
• Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and park leadership.
• Ability to pass pre-employment written and physical testing, and skills assessment.
