Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Services Assistant for the 36-hour day shift in the BWH Emergency Department in Boston, MA. A $750 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible new employees.

Qualifications

• CNA/PCT/MA/EMT certification or commensurate experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care tasks.
• Document vitals, intake/output, and EHR entries.
• Prepare patient rooms, assist with feeding and equipment setup.
• Support RNs and physicians during exams and treatments.
• Assist with admissions and discharges; orient new PCA team members.
• Maintain safety and effective communication with the care team.
