Qualifications

• Six months of medical/public safety dispatch experience or one year of high call volume experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; clear speaking voice.
• Ability to think quickly and clearly under stress and establish priorities.
• Requires critical thinking and good judgment under pressure; react logically to unusual situations.
• Fast pace; make swift decisions to facilitate effective communication during emergencies.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with hospital personnel, patients and callers.
• Friendly, responsive, service-minded attitude to all internal and external customers.
• Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
• Collaborative, team-oriented; share information and contribute to process improvements.
• Detailed information gathering and writing skills; excellent spelling and grammar.
• Shift work including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts; shifts may change.
• Subject to annual background check.
