Job summary

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our emergency and specialty team in Cleveland. The role includes nursing care, anesthesia induction and monitoring, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and client education for hospitalized patients.

The position offers a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM Thursday–Saturday schedule with a competitive hourly pay range. Sign-on bonus is available, and a comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; nursing or critical care experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, infusions, unit conversions).

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather information as necessary.
• Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment.
• Partner with patient care team regarding treatment plans and nursing care concerns.
• Provide client education including home care instructions, medications and wellness updates.
• Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Perform in-house lab testing and prepare samples for outside labs.
