Position Overview

This position provides technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet individual patient needs in assigned areas.

Essential Job Functions
  • Collect, report, and document clinical data, including vital signs, height, weight, intake/output, pulse oximetry, and specimens.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing according to policies and regulations.
  • Assist with patient activities and care as directed by the charge nurse.
  • Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure a clean, safe environment, following aseptic and infection control procedures.
  • Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
Other Job Functions
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain supplies in patient care areas.
  • Assist with patient restraints and monitor for emergencies or unusual behavior.
  • Travel between facility locations as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of relevant medical training/program and one year of applicable experience, or equivalent qualifications as specified.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS/ALS and PALS preferred.
  • Experience with IV starts, phlebotomy, and EKG initiation is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.
