GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support ED admissions and patient flow. You will escort patients, replenish supplies, and assist care teams in a fast-paced environment while upholding GBMC values.
The role requires CNA licensure, CPR certification, and EMR/EMT/CRT/Paramedic program background or progression. A minimum of one year hospital experience is preferred, with strong communication and computer skills.
Under general supervision, performs operational tasks related to the admission of inpatients and outpatients coming to the Emergency Department of GBMC. Ability to multitask in fast paced atmosphere while maintaining GBMC values for initial customer service contact. Escort patients as necessary to ED from general waiting room and to radiological areas when necessary. Replenishes clinical supplies and checks clinical carts as assigned. General participation in promoting efficient flow of multi-unit environment.
Under general supervision of the RN or MD, provides clinical support to unit staff in the care of patients and familiesEducation: High school or GED. Graduate from an accredited CNA program and graduate from an accredited Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT), or Paramedic program.
