Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to provide basic patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role requires readiness to maintain a patient care environment and efficient communication with the team.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, VA-EMT and BLS certifications, and strong medical terminology knowledge. Proficiency with computers and languages is a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current VA-EMT Basic/Enhanced/Advanced/I/Paramedic certification.
• Must have current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; additional languages preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Job description

• Pay or shift range: $19.38 USD to $26.75 USD
  The pay range reflects the current compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Individual offers are determined based on directly related experience, skills, education, internal equity, and other job-related factors. Not all candidates will qualify for the upper end of the posted range.

Description

An Emergency Room Technician provides basic care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This role must maintain an environment that is prepared for patient care.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent is required
• Current Certification in VA-EMTBasic, EMT-Enhanced, EMTAdvanced, EMT-I, or EMT-P
• Must have current BLS certification
• Proficiency with medical terminology
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Additional language proficiencies are preferred
• Must be proficient in basic computer skills
