Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an ER Tech for the Day Shift in Hartford, CT. The role provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and supports physicians and nurses, including admissions, discharges and transfers.

The position is part-time, requires a high school diploma, EMT-B/MA/CNA with acute care experience preferred, and BLS certification. Training is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Experience: EMT-B, Medical Assistant or CNA with acute care experience preferred.
• Certification: BLS certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, and perform simple math calculations.
• Ability pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients.
• Provides for nutrition and elimination needs of patients.
• Performs specific procedures according to patient plan of care.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfer for patients on and off unit.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family member and hospital personnel.
• Maintains safe unit environment, supplies and equipment to facilitate patient care.
