Job summary

International Executive Service Corps seeks an ER Tech I to support physicians and staff in the Emergency Department. Under supervision, assist clinical staff, transport patients, and maintain supplies while ensuring a service-friendly environment.

The role includes training in phlebotomy, nasal/throat cultures, BWC drug screens, and accurate charge entry. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to policies are essential for patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in healthcare settings with direct or indirect patient care, or STNA, or student in healthcare major.
• Positive service oriented communication and strong teamwork.
• Ability to use technology and perform typing with accuracy.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to the patient age and assist nursing staff.
• Assist with patient care and room preparation.
• Order and restock patient care supplies.
• Demonstrate service excellence and promote patient satisfaction.
• Follow policies and procedures for quality performance.
• Train and maintain competency in phlebotomy, nasal/throat cultures.
• Train and maintain competency in BWC drug screens.
• Witness patient signatures and inform the ER UTL if needed.
• Enter ED charges into the computer system.
• Answer phones and route messages to the correct departments.
• Maintain departmental and unit competencies.
