Job summary

Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley seeks a dedicated Emergency Department Technician to support ED staff under supervision. You will assist with bedside care, patient transport, and basic medical tasks to maintain readiness for emergencies in a Level I Trauma Center environment.

The role includes shift-based duties, documentation, and collaboration with RN staff to ensure safe patient care and smooth ED operations at RUHS Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or Certificate of Proficiency.
• Experience: Six months performing technical duties as an EMT, CNA, or Paramedic, or completion of related training within past two years.
• Licenses/Certifications: EMT, Paramedic, or CNA license/certification depending on option.
• Knowledge: Basic medical terminology and patient care concepts.
• Ability: Communicate effectively and follow standardized procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care, assist with examinations and procedures, record vitals and ECGs.
• Transport patients and supplies, stock and clean ED areas, and assist with emergency response teams as needed.
• Assist with clerical duties in the ED, including phone calls and triage-related tasks.
