Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a dedicated registered nurse for the North Port ECC. The role delivers professional nursing care in an acute setting, guided by the organization’s nursing practice model and ANA standards. Night shifts are included, with a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Requirements include 1 year of emergency RN experience, Florida RN license, and ACLS/BLS. BSNCompletion within policy timelines is expected for new hires after 2012, and several certifications must be obtained

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of emergency RN experience.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN required for new hires after 2012.
• Current Florida RN license; ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Certifications required within 1 year of department orientation: TNCC, ENPC, NRP and associated courses; maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical setting.
• Follow SMHCS nursing practice model and ANA Standards of Professional Practice.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in orientation and ongoing education.
