Job summary

UNC Health in Eden, North Carolina seeks a Clinical Nurse for the Emergency Room to provide competent nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will coordinate patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires graduation from a Board of Nursing approved program, NC RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year of nursing experience. Onsite, full-time with a 36-hour week and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and collaborates with the team.
• Implementation - Delivers nursing care per standards and coordinates with resources for complex patients.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals and cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Assesses and plans for discharge needs and family involvement.
• Planning - Updates care plans with multidisciplinary input, respecting cultural factors.
• Research - Engages with current literature to inform practice.
