Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Emergency Department. The RN II assumes responsibility for a group of patients, leads care delivery, and collaborates with the care team.

Qualifications

• One year recent ED RN experience.
• Graduation from an accredited RN program and California RN licensure.
• Current BLS, with PALS and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection with focus on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal-directed plan of care and implements it.
• Coordinates and evaluates care, ensuring patient safety and family education.
• Establishes effective working relationships with the health care team, patients and families.
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and nursing research as directed.
