Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Registered Nurse II to join our care team in California. The RN II provides comprehensive nursing care, conducts ongoing assessments, and collaborates with physicians, therapists, and other staff to develop and implement care plans for identified patient populations.

Qualifications

• Two years recent (within the last 3 years) experience in PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department or completion of a KP PACU Training Program within the past 12 months.
• Active California Registered Nurse license; ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Strong assessment, care planning, and documentation skills; ability to coordinate care with the health care team.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection in a ongoing systematic manner across physiologic, psychosocial, cultural and cognitive domains.
• Implements care and participates in prioritizing patient needs and resource allocation.
• Documents care and communicates with the health care team to ensure continuity.
• Demonstrates knowledge of RN scope of practice and adheres to safety and confidentiality standards.
• Participates in unit performance improvement and staff development activities.
