Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current RN VA license or has a compact multistate license.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Required 1 year of emergency room experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assessing patient pain and ensuring effective pain management.
• Documenting care in the patient medical record.
• Educating patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
