Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Two years of experience required

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments after intervention.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to resolve issues proactively.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and side effects; translates complex medical terminology for understanding.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares for self-management.
