Job summary

East Valley ER in Phoenix seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care in the emergency department for all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. You will assess patients, prioritize care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient treatment.

You will work the 7a-7p shift in a fast-paced environment. The role requires ER experience, active nursing licensure, CPR/BCLS, ACLS/PALS or ENPC, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Emergency Room experience.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients including emergency procedures required for stabilization of patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to all ages in a safe, efficient, cost-effective manner.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and psych-social assessments; prioritize needs based on assessments.
• Supervise ER Techs, Radiology/CT Techs, and other support personnel.
• Maintain current knowledge of medications and follow the five rights of medication administration.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
