Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Emergency Department in West Linn. The nurse will use clinical judgment to diagnose and treat health problems, assess patients, plan and direct care, and coordinate with the care team to ensure comprehensive patient management.

The position requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, Oregon RN license, and active BLS; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale within required timelines are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year of current ED experience or Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the ED.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Oregon RN license.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
• ASLS? — ACLS (American Heart Association) must be obtained.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: perform multi-system assessments and discharge planning needs.
• Planning: develop an individualized nursing plan of care and coordinate with departments.
• Implementation: carry out physician plan of care and document in the EMR.
• Evaluation: evaluate care effectiveness and participate in unit quality assurance.
