Job summary

San Benito Health Care District in Hollister, CA, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in a high‑acuity setting. You will assess needs, develop care plans, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians and the team to deliver safe, high‑quality emergency services.

Required: California RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NIHSS certifications. ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

Current California RN license.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required.
Minimum one year of acute care experience preferred.
Minimum one year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
Successful completion of required department competencies and orientation.
Basic computer skills; triage experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the Emergency Department.
Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and monitor patient response.
Perform cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring and respond to changes in condition.
Assist physicians with emergency procedures and care during critical situations.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment and pain management.
Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in performance improvement.
