Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center Inc. seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN to deliver safe patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for a diverse patient population on Telemetry, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team. The role requires 2+ years of acute care experience, an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC within specified timelines, and a strong commitment to EMTALA compliance and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
