AdventHealth in Fruitland Park, FL, is seeking a Paramedic to assist higher-trained personnel in delivering high-quality patient care. You will support emergency responses, maintain infection control, and coordinate with healthcare teams while ensuring safe ambulance operations and thorough documentation.

The role requires strong English communication, critical thinking, and the ability to work in high-stress environments. Night shifts with PRN schedule may apply.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients to the level of certification.
• Maintain a professional and calm presence under the most critical situations.
• Operate a motor vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
• Determine the nature of patient conditions and assess pre-existing medical conditions.
• Identify life-threatening conditions within the paramedic scope.
• Read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• React calmly in critical situations.
• Identify patient acuity levels.
• Utilize state-of-the-art technology and computer systems.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Establish and maintain relationships with diverse patients and staff.
• Multi-task in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Emergency vehicle operations (Preferred).
• Defensive driving (Preferred).
• 5 years of driving passenger vehicles (Preferred).

Job Description:

Assists higher-trained personnel in providing effective care.Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, families, bystanders, and other response agency personnel. Supports community service and relationship functions as requested by leadership. Maintains a safe and effective work environment by adhering to infection control standards. Communicates effectively with healthcare team members and other emergency responders. Ensures the ambulance is clean, stocked, and ready for use at all times. Follows established policies, procedures, guidelines, medical protocols, and safety standards. Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide care to ill and injured patients. Performs assessments and applies methods of treatment and transport based on medical protocols. Operates the ambulance safely and professionally, obeying traffic rules and regulations. Completes patient care reports, daily checklists, and other required documentation.Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients to the level of certification

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• Driver's License (DL) [Required]
• National Incident Management System FEMA Training (NIMS) [Preferred]
