Job summary

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department, full-time evenings (11a-11:30pm) in Bel Air, MD. A $15,000 sign-on bonus may apply.

The role involves independent care within a multidisciplinary team and adherence to nursing standards and safety protocols. Required Maryland RN licensure or compact state eligibility, BLS and ACLS certifications, and NIHSS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates independent care to patients within a clinical specialty as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team.
• Acts as a clinical resource for others and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Demonstrates practice consistent with unit operations to ensure safe, timely, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Takes action to correct observed risks to patient safety and participates in patient safety initiatives.
• Participates in recruitment and retention activities at the unit level and provides feedback through peer review.
