Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to support a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in busy settings and are comfortable floating across multiple units as needed.

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, 30303

Shift: Day/Nights Both available (3x12 hours)

Contract Duration: 54 weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ED RN to work in a very busy Emergency Department, primarily caring for boarder patients. The nurse may also float to various acute care units including Med/Surg, Stepdown, or ICU based on facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Manage care for ED boarder patients across multiple acuity levels (Med/Surg, Stepdown, ICU)
• Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Float to other acute care units as neededMaintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure adherence to patient safety and clinical protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar-sized Level 1 Trauma facility
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Strong experience in Emergency Department settings
• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
