Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics (GMHC) is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Room/Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and compassionate night-shift team. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced RN, this role offers mentorship, hands-on learning, and opportunities for growth in a supportive, collaborative ER/Med-Surg environment.

This is a full-time night-shift position with rotating weekend and holiday coverage, including every 12th weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license with Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for licensure.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to educate patients and families and relay changes to providers.
• Ability to document patient information and carry out orders.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Emergency Room and Med-Surg settings.
• Communicate patient observations and changes in condition to the team.
• Document thoroughly and follow provider orders.
• Contribute to a night-shift, rotating-weekend coverage schedule.

Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics (GMHC) is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Room/Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and compassionate night-shift team.

Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced RN, this position offers an excellent opportunity to build and expand your nursing skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals while caring for a diverse patient population in both the Emergency Room and Med-Surg setting. New nurses will benefit from mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities for continued professional growth.
