Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s values to support excellent patient outcomes and departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes for efficient patient throughput.
• Participate in assessing the quality of patient care services.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a supportive environment.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery as needed.
• Implement nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and patient care.
• Contribute to staff hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Manage staff scheduling and ensure appropriate resource utilization.
• Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Additional certifications such as Pediatric Emergency Nurse, NIH Stroke Scale, and Trauma Nursing Core Course required within specified timeframes.
