Job description

Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Night Shift

Location: Hermitage, TN
Schedule: Full-Time - Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) - Rotating Weekends (2 weekends per month: Friday to Sunday)
Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $34.24 - $45.75 (Based on experience)
  • Night Differential: $3.75 per hour
  • Weekend Differential: $6.00 per hour

Incentives:

  • Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
  • Relocation Assistance: $5,000 (for candidates relocating over 50 miles)
About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while managing staff and overseeing daily unit operations during night shifts. This position offers excellent growth opportunities and leadership advancement within the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and document patient symptoms or condition changes. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Leadership: Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring accountability for patient care. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
  • Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote understanding of treatment and care plans.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a secure patient and staff environment.
  • Quality Improvement: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:

Licensure & Education:

  • Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (required).
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (required), Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • BLS from the American Heart Association (required).
  • ACLS and PALS (must be obtained within 1 year of hire).
  • CPI (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience (ER, ICU, or Psych nursing preferred).
  • At least 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
  • Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in a Level III Trauma Center is a plus.

  • Level III Trauma Center
  • Unit Size: 22 beds
  • Team Size: 73 FTEs
  • Daily Patient Volume: Up to 166 patients
  • Charting System: MediTech (experience preferred but not required)
