Job summary

Sanitas in Orlando/Winter Park is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support a fast-paced emergency department environment. The PCC will deliver patient care, assist in triage, and help manage patient flow.

Responsibilities include wound care, EKG monitoring, inputting discharge instructions, and collaboration with nurses and radiology. Requires high school diploma, 1 year experience, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Advanced English is required; Spanish/Creole preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care to a variety of patients (fast track, med/surg and critical care).
• Perform wound care, dressing applications, and quality splinting.
• Monitor EKGs and cardiac activity; recognize basic arrhythmias.
• Assist in procedures (IandD, suture, vaginal exam, lumbar puncture, chest tube).
• Triages and discharges patients of all ages.
• Input discharge instructions and prescriptions into computer systems.
• Coordinate patient tracking and communicate with team members.
• Follow information security policies and organizational protocols.
