Job summary

Billings Clinic in Billings, MT, seeks an Emergency Room/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Big Horn Hospital Association regional affiliate in Hardin. This full-time position offers a supportive team, Magnet-designated excellence, and opportunities to care for diverse patients in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires an active nursing license, CPR, ACLS, PALS and ATLS, plus strong communication and teamwork skills, with on-site duties in Hardin, MT.

Qualifications

• Must have current nursing license in good standing.

• ACLS, PALS and ATLS required, and facility will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and acute healthcare services to patients within BHHA.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• May perform independent assessments and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
• Treats a mixed patient population, across gender, age, and ethnicity, as well as insured and uninsured patients.
• Participates in provider staff meetings to develop problem-solving techniques and acquire team-building skills.
• Attends continuing education programs and provide evidence of necessary education completion to upgrade skills and maintain licensing requirements.

Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)

JOB SUMMARY

Emergency Room/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Full-Time Day or Night Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILITIES

Provides emergency and acute healthcare services to patients within BHHA. Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. May perform independent assessments and treatment procedures in emergency situations. Treats a mixed patient population, across gender, age, and ethnicity, as well as insured and un-insured patients. Participates in provider staff meetings to develop problem-solving techniques and acquire team-building skills. Participates in peer reviews. Participates in a comprehensive quality improvement process which includes routine auditing of medical records to ensure quality clinical care and that clinic protocols are followed and ensuring that the Board of Director's quality assurance committee's recommendations concerning medical care are implemented. Available to answer questions/provide consultation to all hospital staff during working hours, including triaging telephone calls, and making referrals. Completes medical records in a timely manner daily, including completing accurate and timely chart entries on client transactions, orders, test results and progress notes summarizing patient care for continuity of care. Attends continuing education programs and provide evidence of necessary education completion to upgrade skills and maintain licensing requirements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Must have current nursing license in good standing. Must have current CPR card. ACLS, PALS and ATLS required, and facility will provide training.
